MALKIA STAMPLEY

From Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Malkia is a Jeff-nominated director, ensemble member of Congo Square Theatre and Goodman Theatre’s BOLD Artistic Producer (since October 2021) after serving as founding Artistic Producer for the Milwaukee Black Theater Festival. Select Goodman producing credits: GOODNIGHT OSCAR (world premier), CLYDE’S, LUCHA TEOTL, ENGLISH, SWING STATE and a citywide festival featuring playwright Pearl Cleage, amplifying five Black-led and missioned theater companies.

Malkia was named a BOLD Artist in 2022 through the Helen Gurley Brown Foundation, is a co-founder of Bronzeville Arts Ensemble and a University of Chicago Civic Actor Studio alum and facilitator.
