CALLING all YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTs!
The Samuel G. Roberson Next Up Fellowship celebrates the voices of young Black playwrights. Each selected fellow will receive a $1,000 cash prize, a 10-month mentored writing fellowship, and the development of 10-minute play into full length play, supported by Congo Square.
This fellowship aims to provide resources for young playwrights to enhance their writing and their identity as a playwright. This fellowship includes coaching session and master classes with industry professionals.
College and high school students are encouraged to apply!
Submissions open December 1, 2023
Deadline for submissions is February 1st, 2024
Winners will be announced and notified in April 2024!
