Anthony Irons

Anthony Irons is an actor, writer, and director, who has lived and worked in Chicago since 2002. Congo Square directing credits include the sketch comedy, Tales from the Black Side, The Colored Museum, Hobo King, and most recently, Day of Absence.  He has performed in over a dozen Congo Square Theatre productions and has received Black Theatre Alliance Awards, African American Arts Alliance Awards, and three Jeff nominations. Other performance credits include the Goodman Theatre, Court Theatre, Shattered Globe Theatre, The Second City, and Lookingglass Theatre, where he is also an ensemble member.  Film credits include Let’s go to Prison and The Lucky Ones. TV credits include Empire, The Chi, Chicago Fire, Boss, and Sirens.
