Magicpen Andrew
Magicpen Andrew was born in Lagos, Nigeria. Growing up learning about the creativity of his ancestral lineage from Benin he fell in love with the arts at a young age. Andrew has always been fascinated with peoples faces and lives. As a young boy Andrew discovered that within each individual faces lies a multitude of various colors that others didnt seem to see. Naturally, this awareness led Andrew to become a portrait artist when he became an adult. Andrew is a self-taught artist who then went to Auchi Polytechnic Auchi Edo State where he studied art and industrial design.
Andrew is the owner of a painting style called Leaficism Art style he uses Leaves to create forms in painting. A leaf is a compound name for various hues and sizes of solidified part of a branch of tree that serves as a ground for photosynthesis for plants in the process of manufacturing their food. This is usually made visible because it contrasts in value with its surrounding marks as a different entity of its own physical appearance as a part of man physical environment. This ultimately influenced Magicpen Andrew ArtAngel to explore the lines of leaves in representing the feelings and forms in the areas of subjective and objective ideas of painting.
